At Faber Group, we see intelligent transport as a key part of our sustainability journey.
On World Sustainable Transport Day, we’re highlighting the actions our divisions are taking to reduce emissions while improving efficiency across Europe.
"Transport efficiency is one of the clearest ways we can reduce emissions at scale. When we combine data, innovation and strong partnerships, we accelerate our journey toward net zero," says Koen Sluys, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Faber Group.
1. Data-driven route optimisation
Digital tools help us design shorter and more efficient routes. Reducing empty kilometres lowers emissions and supports customers in reducing their footprint.
2. Collaboration with transport partners
-
We work closely with hauliers to integrate renewable fuels and improve utilisation. Many partners now use HVO100, a fuel capable of reducing emissions by up to 80 percent.
PAKi works with Internationale Transporte Scholz, a long-term partner using HVO100 across its fleet.
-
PRS is expanding the use of HVO100 and testing low-emission trailers and electric vehicles.
3. Local initiatives that scale
From France’s intermodal shift under FRET21 to alternative fuels in Benelux and Germany, local pilots are becoming Group-wide best practice. These actions support the Faber Group Peak Programme and contribute to our net-zero ambition for 2045.
Sustainable transport is not a single route. It is a continuous journey of collaboration, innovation and shared responsibility.
