From 19 to 28 September, Faber Group joins the global conversation during Global Goals Week, a UN initiative that brings together companies, communities and institutions to accelerate progress on the Sustainable Development Goals. Among them, SDG 12, Responsible Consumption and Production, is closely aligned with how we operate every day.

In a sector where logistics can be resource-intensive, we are changing the way things are done. Through pallet pooling and reuse systems, we reduce waste, extend the lifespan of materials and help supply chains run more efficiently. These actions form part of our Faber Development Goals, which give structure to our long-term sustainability ambitions.

At Faber Group, responsible consumption starts with smart design. Across all divisions, we support customers and partners in moving away from single-use systems by offering circular alternatives built on returnable pallets that can be repaired, tracked and used repeatedly.

From Certified Sourcing to Smarter Systems

It begins with sourcing. All Faber entities are working towards a goal of using 100% certified wood, ensuring that materials come from responsibly managed forests under FSC or PEFC standards. But sustainability does not end at sourcing. Every pallet in use is part of a broader circular system, supported by digital tracking that helps reduce loss, avoid unnecessary production and improve visibility across our international pallet pool.

Partnerships are equally important. We work closely with suppliers through a shared Code of Conduct and carry out regular sustainability assessments to ensure environmental and ethical standards are met throughout the value chain.

Circularity as a Business Mindset

This approach is embedded in every part of our operations. From depot teams to customer-facing services, all divisions play a role in keeping circular systems running. We extend the lifespan of our pallets through repair, support pallet collection through reverse logistics and ensure that end-of-life processing prioritises material recovery over landfill.

Pallet pooling is not just a service we provide. It reflects the way we think. By combining circular economy principles with practical logistics solutions, we help build supply chains that are more efficient, more sustainable and fit for the future.
